Installed the latest public beta on a physically separte drive (d:\) from an XP Pro install (c:\). A boot menu apparently did not install. I can boot into XP but no choice is offered to boot into Vista. How do I fix this? Thanks Vince

Dual Boot XPPro, Vista
Strange, the boot menu should be the first thing you see after rebooting if launched setup from within Windows XP or after the first reboot when if you booted from the DVD. I would boot into XP and format the DVD drive and launch setup again. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

how can I get the install to launch from within XP? I downloaded the ISO file, how can I open it or extract it to be able to launch it? When I try to extract it, I get a "read me" file that says; "this disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating syste, that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification. What are they talking about?

You need to burn the .iso file to a DVD, per the download directions. Bud

I had the same problem, except on one physical drive with 2 partitions. I fixed it by booting to the Vista dvd, and in the recovery options, repaired the startup. It fixed the boot record, and now is bootable. Hope this helps.
